Jazmin Ghent-Jackson,
Ph.D.

An award-winning international jazz saxophonist whose dynamic performances, vibrant sound, and extraordinary audience connection have earned recognition around the world.

Ghent’s third album, The Story of Jazz, earned the prestigious 2019 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Jazz Album. Her fourth album, Forever Jaz, received another NAACP Image Award nomination in 2022. The Smooth Jazz Network has also recognized her with Best Artist of the Year nominations, following her 2017 win as Best New Smooth Jazz Artist.

Her performances have graced celebrated festivals and venues worldwide, including repeat appearances aboard The Dave Koz Cruise, Brian Culbertson’s Napa Valley Jazz Getaway, MoBay FunFest, and the Newport Beach Jazz Festival. She has also captivated audiences at the Long Beach Jazz Festival, Mallorca Smooth Jazz Festival, and throughout Australia, Spain, and the Caribbean.
